I was born in Pretoria, Transvaal (now Gauteng), South Africa. I am Deaf and use different sign languages such as SASL (South African Sign Language), BSL (British Sign Language) and ASL (American Sign Language). My first written language is Afrikaans, second English and third German/Dutch.

I am a graphic designer, animator, illustrator, storyboard artist, character designer and concept artist. Over the years, I have drawn many illustrations and cartoon character designs. I have researched the history of animation to understand cells, inks, paints, stop motion and CGI.

I did a National Diploma in graphic design. Once I achieved the grades to go to university, I completed a BA (Hons) in Animation and Illustration at the University of Hull. I enjoyed animation so much that after I got my degree, I applied to do the PgDip in Character Animation at The University of the Arts London, Central Saint Martin's College.

I got my degree in July 2012 with merit. I enjoyed working with the hearing students (I am deaf), who helped me a lot. It was the best year of my life!

I worked freelance as a Rendering Department Assistant for Lupus Films in making Snowman II or 'The Snowman and The Snowdog.' The Snowman and The Snowdog's credits have my name on the IMDb website.

I was a film student at the Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge for two years, passing with merit in 2019.

Currently, I am working on my projects for RedBubble. I draw logos and illustrations on the T-shirts and others.

In 2022, I started learning ASL properly with ASL Connect via Gallaudet University. I did this remotely via online classes, which is excellent. It was a self-paced learning course. I was studying the ASL courses. I had to learn every day of the week from very early until late, but I enjoyed it and passed it with an A grade. I am choosing to learn ASL to better understand and read ASL on films or TV.
